  • hotels in Sai Kaew Mai Khao (Sai Kaeo) - This is the most northern of Phuket's beaches, just off the airport. You can discover the magnificently longest beach in Phuket and this endless stretch of powder sandy beach is worthy of visiting if only on day out. There are negligible tourist facilities, shopping at Turtle village and the fantastic Phuket Hotels of the JW Marriott Resort, Anandara Phuket Resort and Sala Phuket hotels.

Here the quite beach is backed by tall casuarinas trees and forest which is part of Sirinath National Park, and Olive Sea Turtle Sanctuary. Because of its limited size, Laem Singh gets crowded during the high season but is pleasantly busy during low season sunny days.

  • Naiharn vacation & island Nai Harn BeacH - Near Phuket's southernmost tip is picturesque and stunning Nai Harn Beach. Accommodation here is restricted but the beach is relaxed to get to from Kata and Karon. This fronts a lagoon that is either faced to the clear water or closed off by a sandy bunger, depending on the season. A small temple relatively keeps the Nai Harn undeveloped, while Le Meridien Phuket Yacht Club is set its striking location on the northern side.

Although beach in not a satisfactory idea for swimming due to shallow water many long tail boats anchored off the shore, it is well-liked and a nice destination to picnic under the shade of big trees and a load of seafood restaurants can be found here. There is a sea-gypsy village located on the eastern edge of the beach which has a small fish market.
  • phuket island vacation Laem Ka Beach - The only eastern-facing beach in the south of Phuket that offers good swimming and it's a total full-on Thai experience. This sheltered, 150 metre long, boulder-framed beach is the ideal picnic spot as from midday on it is shady and cool. For many locals it offers the opportunity to chat away Sunday afternoon while their children splash around in Laem Ka's safe and blue waters just metres away.

Phuket Islands


There are dozens of small islands (koh) between Phuket and Krabi. The following have accommodation:

Bon Island .... 10 minutes from Rawai, an ideal island for a day of snorkeling and relaxing.
Hae Island .... (Coral Island) 15 minutes by speedboat from Chalong Bay, accessible all year.
Kai Island .... gorgeous little island
Lon Island .... quiet, mostly Muslim island with a few bungalows.
Mai Thon Island .... gorgeous little island with only one (expensive) place to stay.
Maphrao Island .... (Coconut Island).
Racha Island .... (Raya Island) consists of two islands (Yai and Noi), popular with scuba divers.
Yao Island .... two islands halfway to Krabi, with four upmarket resorts.
